Visual Narrative – Progress #2

Second studio day presented about the same amount of work, roughly a 1.25 pages. I found page 4 (top) much easier to do today, especially as most of it was straight, architectural lines. Although it took two hours to complete from start to finish, I still feel like I produced it really well.

I understand that I am working with a lot of heavy details, especially for something that’ll be printed smaller than the palm of my hand… but I don’t really care? Every project in any art course I have I treat as something to become portfolio quality. I’m looking into the new Comic Studies certificate program here at PSU, and I don’t want to miss an opportunity to produce something really good.

Also, I’m just really enjoying the story and atmosphere of my comic, so I’m going to put a lot of love into it.

  1. I respect and do appreciate the attention to detail, it looks great! The scale of comic within mini zine format potentially serves as case study for developing content that might find audiences on different size “screens” , and a great portfolio item, for sure!
